Context

The Ten Percent App was created to support and empower people with disabilities by offering access to curated resources, community support, and guided tools. The design was rooted in accessibility-first principles, ensuring the app could be used by individuals with varying abilities and assistive technologies. The tone needed to be respectful, inclusive, and uplifting—never patronizing. We worked closely with advocates and users to shape a product that feels both warm and functional. Color contrast, motion sensitivity, and readable typography were all carefully considered to ensure a safe, supportive space where users feel understood and enabled.
